Common Heating Problems We Repair
- The heater will not start. Systems that sat idle since spring often fail on the first cold morning. Igniters, flame sensors and control boards are the usual suspects.
- Blowing cold air. A furnace that runs without heating can have an ignition problem, a limit switch issue or, on heat pumps, a failed reversing valve.
- Short cycling. The system starts and stops without warming the house. Often airflow or a safety switch doing its job.
- Burning smell or strange noises. Shut the system off and call. Dust burn-off on first start is normal for a few minutes; anything beyond that deserves a look.
The Same Process As Our AC Work
Same rules as the AC calls: test it, tell you what's wrong, price before we start.
Most Arlington homes keep the furnace and the AC in the same cabinet. One call covers both sides.
